Relax Gaming partners with PokerStars to launch in Italy
A partnership has been agreed between iGaming provider, Relax Gaming, and gaming operator, PokerStars. This deal will see the game creator’s portfolio of titles available in the Italian market for the first time.
This move is part of the first stage in Relax’s expansion plans, entering a range of European markets throughout 2022, such as last month when it partnered with Meridian Gaming to enter the Serbian market.
PokerStars’ customers will now be able to enjoy titles such as Temple Tumble and Money Train 2. And in time, the plan sees PokerStars gaining access to content from Relax’s 50-plus studio partners.
Commenting on the agreement, Relax Gaming Chief Regulatory Officer Alexia Smilovic Rønde said: “Entering the Italian market is another major milestone on Relax’s path to increase its footprint across regulated European jurisdictions. Italy holds the crown as one of the continent’s most established markets, and we’re ready to show what we can do when it comes to driving differentiation.
“With a competitive landscape that offers a wealth of opportunities for providers of premium gaming content such as us, I’m sure we’re going to see excellent results.”
Adding to this, Relax Gaming Chief Commercial Officer, Nadiya Attard, commented: “It’s with great pride that we enter into operations within the Italian online gaming market with a B2C powerhouse like PokerStars.
“Their longstanding reputation and local demand will offer Relax Gaming an exceptional start in a leading market. We look forward to launching our proprietary content within Italy with leading titles, and the business growth to come. ”
Founded in 2010, Relax Gaming provides more than 3,000 online casino games. And since the recent launch of the newly regulated market in Ontario, the company will benefit from a new host of customers following its receipt of a licence to operate from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
